Meeting Rhythms - Quarterly Meetings
Meeting rhythms are the heartbeat of your business. When you pulse faster, your business grows faster. You are listening to scale-up snips by Ged Roberts, a short- form podcast that brings you key tools and techniques on how to scale your business with ease, speed and confidence. Meeting rhythms are the heartbeat of your business and each of these meetings has a different purpose and a different meeting agenda. Meeting rhythms helps to get the organization's flywheel turning. Once that momentum has started building, it helps drive flawless execution by keeping the focus on the company's targets and priorities ensuring issues get addressed and resolved. In my last podcast, I talked about monthly meetings and how they fit into the meeting and communication rhythms and in this episode, I'll cover the quarterly meeting. Whereas the monthly meetings are an opportunity for the leadership team to learn and solve specific aspects of their business, the quarterly meeting is all about reviewing the results of the previous quarter, refining the strategy and setting the targets and priorities for the next quarter. This meeting effectively creates the bridge between strategy and execution and as such there's much to cover in a quarterly meeting and they often take one to two days each quarter. Quarterly meetings, signal the start and the end of each 13 week race. I often facilitate these meetings on behalf of the CEO, which frees him or her up to participate in the meeting as a member of the leadership team. Here is how I run quarterly meetings with my clients.
